e36 owner to me, at third stoplight: "that is a REALLY fast car !!
What did you do to it ? "
me: not much
It took two-three miles on a straight road to finally get the guy to play ball (g/f or wife/boss was in the car). Road couldn't have been better; three lanes on either side, no traffic and good visibility. We hit four lights in a row. No clutch dump, just revs to five grand in each gear and had the guy by three to eight or more car lenghts every time ! Worst one..I think we were two to three car lengths ahead before I shifted to second. Yes, he was trying. Car is '02 S4 with MTM help (KO4's/Autospeed downpipes on the shelf waiting till winter sets in and car goes into hibernation for a bit).
