I bought band clamps from NAPA for ~$10 each. Work very well.

What size clamps did you buy?

IIRC they were 2 1/4" (~60mm). They were sold flat, but when rolled look like this...

I also used a $6 tube of exhaust paste. I applied it to the clamp. Once tightened, the excess paste was squeezed out. Seems to be working great. I would recommend an impact gun to tighten them.
