Exhaust performance questions.. Comparing piping of 2 exhaust systems
This is on an allroad but I'm curious.
2 systems:
Forge 2.34"
APR 2.5"
Forge looks a bit more fluid, less bends etc.
APR's is nice, bigger diameter pipes but it turns into what appears to be a really close 90 degree bend into the mufflers (Not sure if this being towards the end of the exhaust creates pressure or if it's okay)
I would think if one could (based on design) you would want it to flow from front to back as straight as possible.. Exception is AWE's dual with a ton of extra pipe.. Like one of those crazy straws
APR rear muffler section (APR sold by APR, www.goapr.com)

APR on vehicle: Thanks to MarkFranc

Forges new exhaust (no pics on vehicle). Sold by Achtuning @ www.achtuning.com

The forge system although smaller in piping diameter appears to have less bends then the APR (obviously we don't have a great pipe into muffler shot but given the muffler is straight thru, we know pretty much where the piping has to attach and we know basically the angle of approach the piping is taking to the muffler)..
Comments? No big whoop, no real difference. Or that 90 degree into the muffler is going to cause some negative backpressure or the Forges 2 45 degree bends would be the same as the APR single 90 degree bend.. Or the 2.5" system....
Both these exhausts are really nice looking, just wondering as I have a gut feeling which I'm going to buy but wanted some feedback, want to find out if my gut feelings are accurate or... Totally offbase, unfounded etc (which is okay!)
Thanks

I wish I could get a dual for mine...but the custom piping is no performance gain.
not to mention the dual muffler skirt that is required.
BUT, if one did some custom piping, you can get the skirt from dtmautohaus.
