Default A few pics after my clear corner mod and painted bulbs (just washed) - BWW

The driver's side turned out relatively well, passenger side had a few light scratches, but it's livable. Overall I'm pretty pleased. Net savings to me: $400+

This one doesn't have any clear corner content, but I liked the shot.

Thanks to MP3guy for helping me out with the mod. Now I just have to get my damn bumper realigned because I installed an APR snub mount at the Rockville tech session a few days ago.

Why do you need to get your bumper realigned?

Default Looks clean, nice work. Curious about the operation of your "painted" lights......

I must say that the inspectors here in NoVA are not keen on light mod's

What exactly do you mean you saved $400+?

Default Thanks. They still light up amber with running lights on, and flash bright amber with turn signal

It's just a thin coating of silver paint

Default Well i was talking about the euro price. But then I know it's no true substitute.

I just wasn't willing to pony up the dough for *slightly* better projector housings and city lights which I probably wouldn't use. The robot eyes do look better for the turn signal though.

Default When I took it off for the snub mount install, it didn't go back on perfectly.

Unfortunately I think it's due to the radiator structure not being lined up exactly where it was... I messed with it for about 20 minutes with 3 other guys and still couldn't get it perfrect.

Default Ahh, ok. That's what I figured. But what exactly did you do then to get the clear corners? Is

there an earlier post from you on what you did? I'd like to get clear corners without buying the e-codes too.

Default Well, there's just an amber insert in the housing that can actually be broken up and taken out (m)

there's actually a pretty decent tech article on it. I've listed it below. It's not a trivial task, so make sure you devote some time to it. But maybe I'm saying that because it always seems to take me twice the prescribed time to finish these DIY mods... If you have any questions let me know, I'd be glad to help.

clear corner tech article

Careful of painting the bulbs. I've seen the paint come off and stick to the housing.
