Finally installed what should have been one of my first mods...(long)
I finally got around to installing a boost gauge (sort of). The install is purely aesthetic at this point. The tubing will be routed this weekend with the help of JasonS4 and TED's Chicagoland S4. I am still on the fence whether to use the vent lighting (on-off with the headlights) or always on (like the other gauges).

I chose the VDO gauge for 2 reasons:
1. The price
2. JasonS4 and I did some "tests" and the VDO seemed to react faster than another kit he had.
I am too cheap to buy a center gauge "pod" and I never saw a setup I really liked. So I was inspired to make one, as several others already have. The frame is made from office supplies. I cut up a 2 different memo holders to get the "layered" look. It took a while to make. But with all projects for my car, it was a labor of love.
The entire setup cost under $30 (thanks to the unfortunate closing of MotoPersona).
FWIW: The center vent cluster is hard wired to car. I dismantled the entire thing looking for a plug. If you want to pull it completely out, you need to snip the wires. This is what I did. I then attached "plugs" for the connections for future removal.

how about a level 10 tranny upgrade and some KO4s to get you started?.....
I'll have a lift soon - you can pull the motor in my garage on Saturday afternoon - we can quickly take apart your tranny and just pop in some better parts, no problems - should take about 5 hours or so
