Finally, some logs and first hand impression of my custom EPL Stage 3 tune.
First and foremost, OH MY GOD!!!!
Tony and Dave over at European Performance Labs are one of a kind. It is really hard to express in words the feeling one has after driving something like this. I made a jump from Stage 2+ to Stage 3- and now finally Stage 3. Simply ridiculous the monstrosity that this car has become. Plain jane KO4 turbos putting down 410.3whp / 438wtq on 93 Octane. I'm expecting another little boost once I get rid of my primary cats. My current setup consists of the following:
OEM RS4 KO4's
OEM RS4 Inter coolers
APR Inter cooler Hoses
OEM RS4 Clutch
VAST Lightweight Flywheel
Dalhback Diverter Valves
Custom dual 2.5 inch exhaust, 4 resonators
Piggie pipes
Next on my list is the deletion of the primary cats and replacing them with test pipes. I don't care about the emissions here, Jersey can't get any worse, or maybe it can. And the sound? Who cares, I drive my car when I have time only, its not my daily, and if I'm putting this much power into it, might as well go ***** to the wall and make it a loud bitch.
But yea, back to the tune. WOW. Pop the car into first gear and accelerate as usual... SO YOU THINK. I have to feather the gas ever so slighty or the car will just try to escape from under my control. The 438 foot pounds of torque to the wheels just make it so easy to miss a step. The car WANTS to go. Shift into second, before boost builds you get the same response. The car wants to break itself from your grasp and take off. Once boost builds in second gear, its hell from there. The sheer neck snapping acceleration just makes your jaw drop and your insides twirl. Boosting 22.5psi and tapering to ~20 at red line just gives you a constant flow of power. Not a single person that has had a ride in my car since Thursday has stepped out without giving me a few "holy ****s, holy fvcks" and plenty other remarks. I find myself scared at times to pass any limits. It may really seem as if I am over exaggerating this, but seriously, I can't compare to KO4 Hybrids, or GT setups, but man, I really can't even say that this isn't ALOT of power. Happy I went this route, and for anyone contemplating Stage 3, go custom tune. Seriously.
Here are some logs Tony sent my way after finishing up with the car.
Note: One of my o2 sensors is pretty much dead. Replacing them with Zoldmans this week. Oh and... those FATS times down below, were in 60* weather. =) Full interior minus a spare.

Congrat man! I can't even imagine. I still believe my Stage 2+ is fast lol. Does the owner of EPL
require that customers do these reviews? LOL Just kidding man, it was a nice write up, I just wish that we could get more posts like these from customers of APR, AWE, and ASP when they go stage three. Although there are some from those guys, EPL takes the cake in customer reviews from Stage 3 installs. Anyway, I am glad you are happy with the car. I can definitely imagine the benefit of a custom tune. Congrats again and be safe!
