First Impressions Amsoil Series 2000 0W-30 vs. Mobile1 0W-30
Ok boyz...just went in for my 10K service today at Prestige Imports...and got great service from Trevor there...thx
That aside here are my first 50 Mile impressions of Amsoil.
-1) Car seems to be quiter over all from both the sound of the turbos to any slight lifter noise
-2) Get this...Oil temperatures are 10 degrees lower on the gauge!! Use to run at 225° on the nose with normal driving. Now about 215° on the gauge.
-3) Acceleration seems to be about the same on butt dyno..no surprise there
-4) The oil on the dipstick is nearly as clear as water...my brother has run Amsoil in his Toyota for 5K plus...still the color of golden honey
Look to report long term impressions here in about 2500 miles...stay tuned

I second that Trevor is the man. With respect to your oil temp...It is now cooler in Denver. 78 degrees today, so wouldn't that cool the oil 10 degrees?

Thx Ferris...Yes Dirt should NOT be suspended in your oil..blk caused by heat..
At least none should get past the oil filter. The black you see in your oil is caused by heat chemically altering the synthetic and dyno oil. Suspect it is a alot of carbon from the burning fuel. However WHY Amsoil does not get black like most oils? I really dont know :-)
