I had my 10k service just recently and since I spaced on bringing synthetic oil with me to the dealership the car now has regular ol dino oil in it. Anyway, my girlfriend and I made a run out to Palm Springs in 118 degree heat. Moving at sometimes triple digit speeds I noticed the oil temp ran a full notch cooler than it did with the synth oil. Previously in maybe 70 or 80 degree weather while running hard I could see 250 on the oil temp easy, not that it ever made me nervous though. This time, in two hours of travel the temp never hit 250. Also, in day to day driving as well as highway the temps don't seem to fluctuate as much as they did. Any thoughts?
