Got a ticket for passing on the right, where prohibited, need advice.
It was at a stop light where there are 3 lanes across at the light and after the light it goes to 2 lanes. I was in the far right lane and when the light changed I went ahead of the person next to me and into the right lane of the 2 lane street ahead. The lane I started out in had no right turn only sign or arrow painted in it and I didn't pass the guy on my left at open throttle or even close to it but I do have a VM1 exhaust so it might have sounded like it. I was wondering if anyone had been in a situation like this and if it will be easy to argue or am I going to have to make a few calls, I want my perfect record maintained. Thanks.

Take it to court. Here is a link to some lawyers in your area.

Looks like you'll need to go to court on this one
Take photos of the area. Do a written statement...that you were stopped at a light bla bla, and that you made it to the 3 to 2 merge before the car beside you by 2-3 car lengths. If the cop agrees to your statement in court, and you show supporting photos......plant the thought that just because you drive faster than someone doesn't mean you are speeding. If you exhausts are state legal (sound wise), you might want to make a recording of you exhaust to show the judge how loud the exhaust is at idle and that the cop might have mistaken you for driving hard because of this.
