...don't forget, when you "compare" tires, there are many things to consider:
1) Tire Size and Width
2) Wheel Size and Width
3) Suspension Set-Up
4) Road Conditions
5) Tire Pressure
6) Tire Wear
7) Tire/Tread Design and Compound (ultra high performance, all season, M&S, etc...)
To accurately "compare" tires, ideally you'd need the same: suspension set-up, road conditions, tire pressure, tire, wheel size, width and tire wear.

don't forget "tire wear ratings" are essentially meaningless...
unless you stay within the same Manufacturer.
i.e., a 200 treadwear on a Bridgestone Potenza is not the same as a 200 treadwear on a Kuhmo Ecsta.
but i wish it was and they would standardize and make choosing tires that much easier.
