Is there an upgrade for the stereo in this car. If there is what doed it consist of and what are the costs. Any input is greatly appreciated. Thanks

Its an option and I think its $650. It is just your speakers. The head unit is all the same.

I have the Bose option in my '00 S4. You are right the head unit is the same. The upgrade includes speakers and a 150 watt amp. Stock stereo system is 80 watts. The head unit includes a single disc CD player. Wiring is already installed in the trunk if you would like to add a 6 disc changer, about a $650 option.

for the non-handy, you might want to consider having it installed professionally. It is not intellectually demanding but is a real pain.
