Default HID bulb question

my headlights don't seem to be very bright. I had a chevy truck behind me and i could see my cars shadow in front of me (fogs and headlights on). Would new bulbs make them bright again? 02 with 95k. Color is still blue/white, but lumens seems low.

Default What's the condition of the housing lenses and reflectors? .....

I just replaced both headlight housings, but retained the eight year old oem bulbs and ballasts. It made a night and day difference.
I can see when driving at night again.

Default Housings are good. Minimal pitting and no yellowing

Maybe I will try bulbs first and then housings. I have to do a timing belt soon so I have to conserve my funds.

Default Was going to post this morning- Changed xenon bulbs yesterday

Thanks to whoever suggested to change xenons a few weeks back (LI-S4 maybe?)-what a HUGE difference! Ive been driving blind the last 2 years.

Also swapped OE Hi-beams with SPP SuperWhites and Fogs to SPP 85 watt. Adjusted all lamps a bit higher and holy crud-Im ready for mole season (drive to work in dark and come home in dark).

Default My driver's side was pretty bad ....................

reflectors and lense were hazing up. It appears to have a film of pollutants built up on them from the inside.
