Started the car this morning and heard higher pitched buzzing sound from around gas tank area outside the car and when I got in and shut the door I could hear it coming from under passenger side rear seat. Buzzing is constant except when hitting the throttle there is a brief interruption in buzzing maybe half second then it continues buzzing. This is definatly new sound and it is annoying inside the car and outside. Can I damage anything if I drive till it fails? What do you people think?

I posted something a few days ago about this same thing. When I switched back to my summer tires is when I noticed it. It has not gone away but it definitely comes at tire-level at the rear of the car. Sound very similar to yours. Mine is a distinct electric-hum type of sound. It does not increase or decrease depending on throttle (you can't really hear it even if you're moving - I have to be still to hear it inside).

Anyone have some ideas on this?
