How can i have my car smoged in CA w/

my check engine light on? Can i clear it w/ the VAG. since i have to drive my IMOLA today!!

Just ran into that with my daughter's car...NO.

Can't help with the VAG question.

Clear your codes, and then watch the readiness codes via VAG-COM...

It takes 30-40 miles to reset completely, but I had to do that prior to my last inspection here because of a bad seal on the gas tank that was unfortunately being fixed two days after my inspection expired. I cleared it and got lucky that it didn't come back before inspection.
