Default Humpday discussion topic: are Tracksports (eg 700/800) too harsh for street-only driving?

I know there's no "best" suspension, that it depends a lot on intended use and personal preference, but I am just interested to hear different peoples' opinions. So...

If you drove ONLY on the street (primarily in NJ) and if the price for Stasis Tracksports and Stasis Streetsports were the same, which would you choose? And why?

Also, as an additional question, if a person opts for the Tracksports, is an aftermarket rear swaybar recommended as it is for the Streetsports?

Thanks for the input.

Sincerely,

-Fairenough, a true suspension noob.

Default WARNING: if you get Track Sports, I'll swap them with my Street Sports when you're sleeping!! (edit)

I would definitely ge the track sports with 600/700 spring rates and the sport valving. I'm not sure about the sway bar but the EF setup uses it and I already have it...

Fletcher setup

How does the "sport valving" differ from whatever is considered "regular"?

Default rear sway bar, stasis sales people say...

a rear sway bar is not recommended for high-ish spring rates (700/800) unless you have a rear lsd to accomodate wheel lift in corners.

or at least thats what they told me a month ago when i asked the same question. then again, i'm sure they'd be more than happy to sell you a rear lsd.

"sport" or "touring". From what I've read, Sport is better for higher sprign rates. STFA!

Yeah, yeah. It's just that there's so many possible combos and terminology I'm not familiar with.

Come on you guys, anybody running 700/800 on the street, or are you too busy on the politics forum?

Default What is the point of going with that setup if you only plan on doing street driving?

Might as well go with H&R streets, Stasis street sports, or something similar.

Default well, depends on how you drive on the street.....

sometimes i find the H&R streets too soft/under dampened for heavy street driving.
