Default I also weighed my car at the drags...

This is with just over 1/8th tank of gas, all of my website-listed mods (18" wheels, exhaust, brakes, etc), and no spare. And nobody in the car.

I'm not sure of the accuracy of this scale. The scale is at the drag strip and is comprised of 2 pieces of floating concrete. I verified the scale was tare'd to 0. While the car was resting there, I did see a reading as high as 3610. There was a decent wind that could account for the fluctuation.

Default wonder how Audi got their higher reading...

I've seen that so many times...where the Manuf. reading is higher than actual. A full tank of gas still wouldn't have accounted for the difference.

Full tank of gas is pretty damn heavy. But, the stuff J4SON mentioned is significant.

Default "curb weight" is 3704 for my car. Call that 100lbs difference. 10gal of gas is 60-65 lbs

the exhaust/DPs surely accounts for a good amount of that 35-40 lb difference remaining. Then there's the spare tire (donut in Avant).

BTW, does anyone know what "curb weight" means? Full tank of gas and base options (no sunroof, etc)???

Default I weighed mine at work a few months back....

...I had over 3/4 tank of gas, me (~185lbs), and a few small work items (hardhat, saftey glasses, etc.).

The car was 3840 lbs. That's with stock wheels, really the only mod at the time was a bi-pipe. The scale is accurate.

FYI:
My '99 A6q (2.8) with 1/2 tank of gas weighed 3940lbs.

I think gas is 8.5lbs per gallon, right? Thats like 140lbs for the tank!

Default Trying running with a 1/2 tank of gas...

...for some reason, whenever I run with 1/8 tank or less, I don't get the acceleration I do with a full tank.

I, as well as a few others, have this theory about the S4 holding back fuel when it's low. No proof though. :-P
