For those who have just received your VIN, it only took my car 3 weeks from when I got the VIN to when it was delivered to the dealership in Southern California. The build week was 34.
Based on many of the experiences that I have been reading, this is much quicker than I expected, but exactly what I had hoped. I live in Northern California, but I am getting the car in Los Angeles. I am flying down on Saturday and driving it up the coast. A very fun 450 mile drive.
