Default I had impure thoughts about another car today....

I really love/hate my S4, and as I was pondering this last night, I decided to go check out a Mini Cooper S.

Unfortunately, these things sell like hotcakes, and the dealer thinks that a 5 minute test drive suffices. Well, it doesn't - I still have no idea if I like the car or not.

But, I do know that I could get one, fully loaded (including Works package) for a small sum if I traded in the S4. If I sold it, then the deal would probably be even.

Anyone have a Cooper S? thoughts/ideas/feelings?

Default I was thinking about one for the gf, Mini reliability isn't the best. I was considering the Cooper

S (not the Works package) and the RSX-S, if she ever decided to get a new car, I think it will be the RSX-S.

I've heard they handle very well (tight and quick) but are underpowered (and noisy?).

Default I love my S4, but....

Here are some typical thoughts that run through my head when I'm driving the S4:

"Oil's not warm - can't get on it yet..."
"Damn, this car is sexy. So subtle, so fast, comfy..."
"My turbos are going to blow any day now. I don't want to spend $6000"
"I hope my tranny lives - I don't want to pay for a new one"
"Holy **** this car is fast! damn!"

I think my relationship with my car is the definition of love/hate. Maybe with the new wheels on it'll be more of the former

You can look, touch, drive, wash, wax, etc., etc., etc. It's not cheating...unless you PAY for it!

Default maybe this?

<img src="http://www.cpdserver.com/elisetalk/pic/view2.jpg">

handles if not better easily as well and definitely faster and more fun - not as cheap sadly...and definitely wouldn't work as the only car in the garage. but so much fun.
