I have Forge Tru-dual catback exhaust and I wanted to delete the mid muffler. If I were to have
straight pipes made to go in their place, would it matter if I use aluminum piping? Would sound quality be any different? The rest of the exhaust system it stainless steel. TIA.

i think you need to delete the rear section, not the middle...
on the UUC Velocimax and the AWE Twin1 the rear sections are removed, rather than the mid... ive never seen it the other way around... it may yield a wierd sound.
You going to the meet tonight? i think im going to head out there... sounds like fun. hit me up

First...a search of the archives will support that you run a much higher chance of having a drone in the exhaust if you pull the resonator.
I have no rear muffler...just the resonator and it not only sounds great, but it also has zero drone.
Second...why would you bastardized the exhaust with alu piping?? True it will cost a bit more, but I'd stay with Stainless....

I do....

I recorded this at the Cliffs of Insanity...much of the day was pretty mellow since we were the third group to go out and the local law enforcement was on the look out for us... That said, I mounted the microphone on the rear trunk lid just to the left of the license plate. Other then some wind and road noise, it's a pretty good idea of what it sounds like.
Sorry it so long, and the best of the clips are after the first five minutes...
Best I can do.

yeah I dont want to corrupt the exhaust system with aluminum, so I wanted to make it a section
that I can remove to put the stock muffler back in and vice versa. Just incase I ever want to sell it. I was also considering alu piping because the shop that does that can take me in right away, but my buddy who does the stainless piping is taking forever to make me an appointment =(
I think I will just wait and do it right.
Thanks.
