Default I HAVE searched the archives... I am thinking of doing the tip mod today. Is there any NEW info

regarding this mod, ie it is bad for the engine over the long run, or it is bad for the torque converter? I want to do it, but I just want to double check everything and see if people who did do it regret it or anything like that. Yes i am paranoid, and this is my first "real" mod i guess. anyhow.. if anyone wants to offer their opinion on this mod that would be great. Also, what is the code for the remote window roll up for a tip and/or is it different than the code for the six speed? Thanks guys

Default tip recode works great.

i wouldn't start shifting back into 1st at every oppurtunity though....that CAN'T be good for any car, right?
there is a tech article on the central locking recode btw.

Default Remote roll up is

16232.

I did the Tip mod and I like it. It takes a bit to get used to because it makes the car act totally different. I would recommend getting a Tip chip as well to help increase feel and performance.

Default Well, like we say, if you can afford to play the "game", don't do it.

Even though the law states that the part has to be proven to cause the failure, the dealer can still void you. Getting a lawyer is time consuming and expensive.

Play at your own risk.

Then there is the morality issue and what not.

I use the 22 code and it's pretty good, 12 isn't bad either but I like the way 22 holds first gear in tip mode. I still haven't tried 32, I am planning on trying it this weekend to see how it is.

The tranny codes don't seem to do any damage - the shift speeds are still the same but when and when it shifts changes dramatically.

Default Recode 32

It's like driving a different car. No problems (so far).
