I'm seriously considering buying an s4 from a private seller, but I'm worried about reliability. He has a 2000 with 44,000 miles and it's still got 20 months Audi assured warranty. However, he's only had the car for 5 months and already he told me he's replaced (under warranty) the clutch, the brakes, the 02 sensor, the catalytic converters, the stereo and almost all of the pipings in the engine. Should this be cause for concern? The car drives really well and the turbos feel strong, but I don't want to buy a lemon. The carfax is clean (no accidents, clear title) and I'm getting a pre-purchase inspection from an Audi dealer. It had been a lease return before he bought it. The owner is an avid s4 fan, but has the car as a toy and needs to sell it. Should I be worried, or are these normal things? Thanks for your help.

Seems odd to get all those things replaced. But hey, at least they were all warrantied!
