Interesting S4 Article
Just received the latest issue of Audi Driver. A couple of interesting articles (RS4 and a modified S4). The author described the modified S4 as an attractive alternative to the RS4 being that the performance is so close. Here are the specs for the modified S4.

Another interesting comment:
Anyone who is not familiar with quattros will probably be astonished when I say that the fastest 0-60 time that we recorded on a road test, 4.8 seconds, was achieved in the wet but those of you who have experience of "the quattro traction phenomenon" will not be surprised.

Try Border's or Barnes and Noble.

In the wet doesn't surprise me one bit...
That way you could get a little wheelspin to get the revs up and keep from killing the drivetrain on a drop clutch start.
Note that many of the time in gears speeds are so close for the modified and stock cars due to lag. Both stock and modified have it. If, however, the 30-50 or 50-70 tests were done by starting at 20 (or 40) and flooring at and counting the time that elapses between 30-50 (or 50-70), the time difference would be even greater.

Re: Who was the tuner?
The car was a Aston Green Audi dealership project. They installed a AMD chip and a Milltek exhaust. HP/Torque is now 332bhp and 509lb.ft. These companies are based in the UK.
