they told me a couple of days ago that they decided to go with a different core and that they were remaking and testing the intercoolers with the new cores. Sounded to me like at least a few more weeks.

Probably less.
The cores are due to arrive tomorrow or Monday. Allow a day to refine the jig and produce a new prototype, as well as fitment to our S4, another 2-3 days for dyno testing and data analysis, and another few days for a comprehensive install manual.
This is best case scenario, but at least we are not starting from scratch and are able to rapidly prototype based upon the jigging already accomplished on the first core tested.
Damned if we do, damned if we don't when it comes to predicting a release date for products. At least you all can be assured that significant real testing is going into this product before release, like all our products.
