Jb weld on suction pump? seems like the suction pump tends to separate, would this be a good mod???
supra s4 told me about doing this, I had previously thought about doing that as well. itt seems they tend to pop right were the clip retainer is... I dont know about the rest of you guys, but if you have a chipped s4 and you get on it and that suction pump pops be ready to smash your foot on the brakes VERY HARD.. its something very concerning to me. i never had something like this happen and its scary.
what is everyones take on this?
I had to go out to pick up a watch and the brakes started doing this. so i got some electrical tape out of my tool bag and I skillfully wrapped the tape around the suction pump and pressed it down to sorta stop this part from popping out. it has seem to work pretty good. and now im thinkin why even buy a new oem one thats gonna do it again?
is there a reason why i should just jb weld this plastic piece to seal it for ever and never pop again?

https://forums.audiworld.com/s4/msgs/2240270.phtml</a

well yes, but the diagram didnt show the part i was looking at, but u told me ekta isnt to descripti
ive as is the same with MOST micro fiches...
but, do you have an answer? lol
what do u think about jb'n this piece?
I am not a fan of jb weld, when i build mtoorcycle engines and crap i hear of people using jb weld to fix things and I shake...
but jb weld does have its use. and if this part always fails(like the k03's) then why not mod it right?

just replace the part with new...
there is not a rash of failures. otherwise you would've found the answer quickly, right?
plus there are S4s waaaay more modified than yours running a non-jb-welded suction pump....no issues there either. replace it and forget it.

Actually, if you STFA, you'll find this is more common than you think...
and solutions varying from JB-Weld to permatex have been used. Part still works perfectly, and will never come apart again.

well you might not see a few people on the forum with this problem as means for modification, have
you ever had this problem happen to you? IMHO there are alot of people who dont post on any of these forums who have had this problem.
if you feel comfortable knowing that any time that piece blows your brakes get rock hard to push down and your doing 150 I think you would change your mind.
sorry
