Default Josh From Achtuning: Where is my RS4 IC semco hose that I ordered in November?

Just to let you guys know...I have ordered parts from Zev, APR, Awe, ECS for my stage 3 S4 Avant. I have been really happy with the service I received. I wish I could say the same about Josh from Achtuning. I received my RS4 IC kit back in November with a temporary three part S hose. Since then, I have personally spoken to Josh three times--each time giving and re-giving my information. I still have not received the hose that I ordered with the kit. It is incredible that after all these months, I have received nothing. I'm obviously disappointed and frustrated. I would never buy anything from them again. And am still waiting...

Default that sounds pretty sluggish on your part.

if you ordered a part 4 months ago, wouldnt you have called more than 3 times? what does he say is the reason you havent received your part?

Default good point, you should have to call atleast twice a day for 4 months...

Otherwise, how can they tell you REALLY want your part?

Default Re: that sounds pretty sluggish on your part.

First of all, the only things I heard about Achtuning from this forum were positive so I was trying to give this guy a chance. My car is drivable and track days aren't here yet so with each call when Josh said give me two weeks, I gave him two weeks. Understanding and patient, yes. Sluggish, no. Now, track days are coming and I'm taking more initiative--like posting this. Sure I could have called more and hounded him but I don't have time for that and I don't like to do business this way. I appreciate working with companies where I can place an order and receive it with no hassle and no delay.

Default do you want his cell # or not? im trying to help you out...if you dont want it then forget it...

you have to understand that tuners are very busy taking orders and installing **** on cars. Althought this isnt excuse enough, they do get really sidetracked, and probably wouldnt remember to ship out a hose. You need to call at least 2-3 times a day to make sure they remember.

just dont sit on AW and whine about it, they most likely wont read about it anyways. im offering another way to get a hold of him, if you dont take it, then stop whining about your IC hoses to us

Default Ok, here's the deal with the IC kits

We've been working VERY hard with the IC kits. We redesigned the way the lower hoses work. This is the way the kit used to be:

<img src="http://www.achtuning.com/images/rs4intercoolers/rs4_ic_kit1.jpg">

NOW we have redesigned the kit with a new pipe. This new pipe is the OEM unit from the RS4. It replaces the metal transitional pipe that is on the S4 and bolts perfectly in place.

Here is a pic of it installed.

<img src="http://www.achtuning.com/images/rs4intercoolers/newpipe.jpg">

As you can see in this last picture this new pipe means that we no longer need the "S" Pipe! This is a MUCH better solution and we end up only leaving about 4 inches of gap between the pressure pipe and the IC lower IC inlet!

ALL RS4 IC KIT delays and component delays are directly a result of this redesign. We order 50 SETS of Samco hoses for this kit over 2 months ago and STILL have not received them!! The pipes are here and ready to go out but we can't ship them without the hose. I'm VERY sorry for this delay. Had you given us a call in the last few months we would have informed you of this update. We hope to be getting those Samcos any time in the next few weeks.
