Default Just finished changing my oil......Could this be a potential problem????? >>>>..........

I was adding oil to top it off, and to make a long story short....i added a little too much oil.

When i check the oil with the engine warm, the oil level is above the "a" range (as per the manual). Basically, there is the midrange ("b") which has criss-crosses to symbolize where the oil should be within. And there is the low range ("c") , where you need to add oil; and a high range ("a") where you MAY add oil as long as you DON'T go above it. (Again, I got all of this from the manual.)

Well, when i check my oil when warm it is about 1-2 mm above the "a"/high range.

Is this very deterimental to my engine/TURBOS?????

What is the worst thing that can happen?

I figure that since my engine only has 13,000 miles on it that hopefully the oil consumption will eat some of that oil up, esp. since i'm chipped.

Any ideas? TIA!

Default Worst that could happen from oil overfill...

Bent/Broken piston rods and or pistons are the worst IMO.

Just let a little oil out holding the plug in place. That would make me sleep better at night 8^ )
