Just installed the AWE S-Flow. Should have done it when I bought the K04 kit!

It was an impulse buy when I bought the intercoolers. The friend who was going to help me with the intercoolers bailed on me today, so I figured I'd just install the S-Flow and see if it really makes much of a difference over stock.
Wow. The first thing I noticed was a dramatic improvement in the smoothness of the power delivery. This was not something I expected, and it has me grinning *really* wide. The last little tiny naggling bit of off-throttle bumpiness is now completely gone. I am one happy camper, and I haven't even put on the ICs yet.

Do you think a stage 2+ car would benefit from the S-Flow like your K04 car?
I've always heard that the intake kits "did nothing" but I know turbos need air to mix with gas - so I'm curious. Thanks.

No headers, and I have mixed feelings about it.
I couldn't afford them at the time, plus it would have meant another several weeks without a car waiting for the car. AWE had a looong waiting list for them when my K03s blew. Now I'm stuck wondering "What if"...
Turbo lag isn't really that bad. There is more lag, but it's not really that big of a deal. And the improvement in torque is worth it.

Is that on an M-Box?
Call AWE and talk to them about it if you have concerns. They've been really good with supporting me and my numerous questions.
The highest I've ever seen was 318, but that was in the middle of the night in the mid 40s at the very top of 3rd gear on 100 octane. With a tail-wind. I used to get around 290s pretty regularly at sea level. Remember the bigger MAF housing scales down the numbers dramatically, so you can't compare numbers vs. other kits or stock.
I haven't had a chance to do a real comparison between the S-flo and the K&N I had before. On a 2nd gear run I was getting something like 270, with a noticeably smoother sample curve. The old one use to jump up and down a lot, this one is much smoother. Sometime this week I should be able to get out and do a full 3rd gear run and compare.
