Just installed the UUC Driveline Stabilizer
Ok, for anyone who has installed the stabilizer, how much room did you have between the stabilizer and the downpipe? Rick's revised instructions say that there is "ample." I bet there was maybe 3 milimeters. I even used 2 extra large washers for additional space. Has anyone had more room than this? Do you think this will be sufficient?
Thanks for you thoughts.

I had quite the bad experience! But it's all better now.
I had about 1mm of room between the ADS and the downpipe with the use of extra washers. It rattled so bad, people were giving me weird looks like: "that's a new car, but it's rattling. I'm never gonna buy an Audi". Then the next day I was digging around in my shop and found my polyurethene bushing for my camaro (is coincidentily the same as the one for the ADS) and installed it on the Audi, and walla! Works fine now. I'm not sure what the stabilizer is supposed to do, but I think it works. I was rather upset at the amount of effort put into having to self diagnos how to fix the clearance issue, but it turned out fine. That, and I only started one flame war when I got on AW and started bashing UUC.
Anyway, you can go to any auto parts store and pick up a GM polyurethene bushing (which comes with a spacer plate which makes the stabilizer fit perfect) then install it and wash your hands, cause you'll finally be done.

Mine doesn't seem to rattle (more)
I got it installed using the rubber bushing, and it doesn't seem to rattle so far. I have the urethane bushing from UUC but didn't want to use it due the possibility of increased vibration.
Thanks for the good info.
