knocking in steering rack

knocking in steering rack
I've started hearing knocking sounds in my suspension. The outer tie rods were loose, so I replaced them. Still hearing occasional clunking, so I replaced the inner tie rods today. The clunking is still there. If I shake a wheel front to back, the inner tie rod will move, and I still have the knocking when driving. Is the rack bad? or is it another part of the steering linkage?

Re: knocking in steering rack
Its most likely the bolts that hold you're steering rack in. There are two within your firewall, one will require you to remove the battery, its a 10m, and the other top, reachable one is near the brake booster. The third is under the car and reachable with an extension.
