Let's talk TINT...
Okay, I've had windows tinted before, but always have it done by my stereo installation shop (real top quality place). I like 35% all around, but never inquired as to what brand of tint is better, and why, and what they use. I need a quick lesson, but bottom line is, I WANT AN AWESOMELY CLEAN LOOK, NO BUBBLES; REAL FIRST CLASS LOOK. I've seen alot better tint jobs lately on high end cars (MB, Porsche, etc.) and don't know if it is a matter of better installers, better tint, or some combination of the two. Is this more a function of the installer, given that they use some reasonable quality tint, or does the specific brand make that much of a difference. If so, why, and what brands should I be asking them to use. Since I'm giving up my new S4 for a week to install my stereo and alarm, and then taking it directly to have the wheels done, I really don't want to take it to another place to have the windows done. Just too many things. I JUST WANT TO DRIVE IT. Picking it up Friday, and dropping it off at the stereo place Saturday bright and early, so I need a quick tutorial in TintSpeak.
Oh, and by the way, my tint never scratched, pealed, or turned purple, so it was decent, but not quite as good as what I've been seeing lately (looks almost like the glass is tinted, and was not done with an aftermarket film, just totally even and smooth, with a slight reflection).
Thanks.

metallic/semi-metallic/ceramic films are the way to go...
I have Formula One Millenium on my car, and it's fantastic... and there've been a LOT of good things said about Huper Optik ceramic tint lately.
The installer is definitely important as well -- friend of mine had Llumar semi metallic put on his car about the same time I had my Formula One done.. his car took over a MONTH to lose all of the bubbles in the film -- mine were gone after about 2 days.
