LevelZero Transmission to 517 Update...
Hey folks...
(Cliff Notes: My TiAL kit took about 200 miles to fry my Level10 transmission. It was sent to 517 for the genuine articles this time.)
So, my 5HP19FLA arrived at 517 Transmission on Wednesday.
Sam and Carmine cracked it open yesterday for inspection. Our suspicion that Level10 had left everything stock with the exception of the stator and a few shims in the valve body has been confirmed.
Apparently, all clutch packs were fried, with packs C and E having been obliterated completely. Additionally, the pressure plates were significantly warped, presumably from heat generated by excessive slipping.
Sam has all the upgraded parts, and has ordered fresh plates...
Photos to follow as soon as I have them.
I want to thank Sam for his considerable time and effort with this one, as he has been exceptionally honest with me, and very good to me as a former Level10 "victim".
More to come...
-Michael.
