My car has had a funky smell from the vents since the day I drove it off the lot (no joke). We figured it was the rust proofing burning off the engine bay (at my first service), and figured it would subside. At my second service, there was no explanation given besides "there's no oil leak". When I went to have an ignition coil replaced, I was told it was a *special* system designed to heat up the cats faster, that's why it was smelling.

Well, it's been almost 2 years now, and the smell is bad as ever. Yesterday, after about 2 hours of 120-130 kph in 15 deg Celsius weather, I pulled to a stop at a service station. Against a black backdrop, I could clearly see the blue smoke rising out from underneath the hood. It's been like this since day one. What to do?

Any advice? Might this be the same leak that was mentioned below, and that another gentleman had to have a block replacement for?

And I just started spending bigtime on mods too.....maybe a trade-in is a better idea. Any advice is greatly appreciated.

I'd check the oil return line...steel braided line coming off the bottom of the turbo

Do you drive on dirt roads? I looks awfully dirty under the hood.

And having the engine bay buggered up with rust proofing by the dealer, after I explicitly stated that I did not want the bay to be rustproofed, doesn't help either.
