Limp mode at the track this weekend - EGT sensor causing it?
after 3 session check engine light came on..I scan the car and see code for one of the EGT sensors and one secondary O2..clear the codes and continue. all running good.
Second day I am on my way to the track it was cold..low 30s..I needed to pass someone and I get on it..limp mode only 5psi of boost..first session on the track boost was normal again(for stock chip) just hair below 10psi?
before second track session I put in MTM ecu , car goes into limp mode toward the end of the session..no CEL..after cool dawn car got out of limp mode and boosted fine!?
swap back to stock ecu for 3rd session, limp mode again in the middle of the session now..still no CEL light..
could this be caused by bad/going EGT sensor?
These suckers are expensive, how about just deleting them..where was that delete writeup?
Where is best place to buy them if delete is not an option?
So far I have pressure tested, and taken apart and lubed my diverter valves but I still dont know what is causing this.
