Looking at GIAC X Chip? What mods should accompany?

Cliff notes: Upgrade your TBB and your diverter valves.
Make sure oil temp is 175-200 before getting on boost. Cool down as necessary. Search the archives for a ton of opinions on what TBB and DV parts to get.

One of those "little upside for a lot of potential downside" things.
Count me in the camp that thinks that K&N filters on the S4 lead to MAF problems. If you maintain it perfectly--maybe not.
But does it really give you that much additional benefit to offset the risk? I don't think so.

Perhaps I should be more clear...
I don't see a need for a K&N with a chip, so when you say you think you should get it...I wonder why? There are reasons why you shouldn't, and if you had done some homework, you would know what those reasons are, and you would also know that an increase in performance is negligible.
As for other mods...there are many. If you spent some time searching and reading, you'll figure it out. There are some good suggestions in this thread...but they are all over the map...from parts that may fail soon as a result of the chip, to things you might need *somewhere* down the road, to things that are nice to have. Now that you've got a list going with the suggestions people have written, you're going to have to start searching to figure out where you want to put your money. Well, the search engine allows you to do that *before* asking the question in the first place, and since you'll have to resort to the search engine anyway...my suggestion to you was to just start doing your homework now.
If I sound a little irked, it's because I am. There are way too many people on this forum for each one to be spoon fed each time they are looking for information. Take some time to search, and you'll find answers, not only to this question, but to other questions that will inevitably follow. That's not to say you shouldn't ask the question...just that you should first make use of the information that's been posted here over the years.

Well said
I'm a noob, and I have tons of questions. If you search then ask you will be rewarded w/ quality answers or may answer your q from the search. of course asking q's are essential to gaining knowledge and should be asked when research is done.

I'd throw a dual exhaust at it next.
You'll hear an annoying rushing sound at WOT if you don't at least replace the exhaust from the downpipes back. Check out the Milltek or Awe dual offerings.
Plus it makes the car really snarl.
