Lost to newer Carrera... 80* Out? UPDATE: 996, NOT 997... :(
Like I said, I raced a looked to be bone stock newer carrera, 997 body style the other day... From a stop to about 60 he pulled from right next to me to about 1/2 - 3/4 car ahead. From a roll, things werent as bad, but he still pulled.
Both b1 02 (precat) sensors are flat out dead (no signal). Also was directed to clean my MAF due to improper readings. Haven't had the chance. Would that have a huge effect on this? Boost logs are ok, and airflow peaks at 240 g/s. Temperature? I've walked on other cars just as fast, just wondering your thoughts.... Could it be heatsoak + improper fuel mixtures due to the 02 sensors?

thats about right....the new 997's are fast
i ran a 997 S (355 HP) from a stop...I had a 3/4-1 carlength lead off the bat...but by end of second into third...he had cught up and pullled to about 1 1/2 carlengths. Eventually to about 2+ and we shut it down at about 85 or so. So that sounds about right...if it was a new 997 (325 HP)...it prob should pull...though a strong running Stage 2+ could very well take it. The 997 S though.....they're no joke. You need Stage 3 fer sure.

Stage 2 GIAC and UUC VM3 at the time.....
im sure the temps didn't help (major heatsoak in summer) unless you have IC's. I've ran about 4 997 S in the last month...and they all have pulled on me...sooner or later. You can "hang"...but they're quick quicl cars. 2 of the ones i ran were chipped as well...the owners said so, but I'm not sure how much more HP/TQ that adds to them *Shrugs* =) They are formidable cars to run though...and i really can't wait till I go Stage 3 in the fall!!!

The 997 has more hp
than you , has considerable less weight and less drive line loss due to two wheel drive , so what makes you think you can "pull" on it ?
FYI , the 997 S is almost as fast as a GT3 which is marginal slower than a non X50 996 tt .
