Default MAF? stock vs. ASP

I am looking to buy an ASP MAF. However, It looks like the Bosch MAF without the screen and the plastic screen. So i busted out the screens (plastic and metal screen). What makes the ASP different? The sensor? So basically what are the differences between a gutted stock bosh maf and an ASP maf that cost nearly 400 bucks. Thanks in advance.

Default The ASP Maf is for Stage 3 fueling only.

If you run that with stock fueling you're gonna run into all sorts of issues.

Default You're gonna need a larger MAF then. If you use the stock one you're going to max out the sensor.

The good thing with the ASP one is it's tapered design (not stepped) and it fits into the stock airbox. Jacob also sells some nice MAF's as well. But I think his 85mm needs a modded stock airbox or an RS4 airbox top.

btw, I'm over simplifying. I know MTM runs the stock maf for one of its stage 3 kits (their stage IV i think). But I'm assuming you're going to want to run the "usual" 20+ psi, and therefore you're gonna want a larger than stock MAF. Most run either an 83 or 85 mm.

No, you use your stock sensor.

No, just an RS4 accordian hose. It's larger at the MAF side but connects your stock Y pipe.

Default um, why did you remove the mesh (flow straightener)?

clearly its there for a reason.

Are you going to homebrew a Stage 3 setup?
