McGrath Audi in Glenview, IL ....
Have 2001 s4 with 9K miles. I called them to schedule oil change after I decided to switch to Mobil 1. They told me it will be $5 extra per quart ($30 for 6 quarts). Is it reasonable, sounds like rip-off to me? How can I be sure that they will not put regular oil in?

Will they let you bring your own oil? I usually wait for my car....
and the service advisors let me go back and look around while my car's on the lift. All I really want to see if the tech pouring my Mobil 1 in. I switched at 5K to 5W30 and no problems. Just had the 10K service done as well. Continental did the work. Good luck!

1 qt of Mobil 1 0W-30 set me back $4.44 at Target....so you can save $3 for 6 quarts.....
do it that way just to make sure they're putting in Mobil 1 and not Mofil 2 they try to claim it's equivalent.
I brought my own when I got mine done at Schaumburg.....one thing for sure, remind them 10 times that you got your own oil. They forgot to put mine in and I ended up going back for another change.....other than that I was offered an Audi loaner even for the 1-hr service.
