Hey Fletcher: do you know of a data base that says what films were shot on 70mm (dreaming about what
to rent when HD-DVD finally comes out). I rented Spartacus over the holiday and noticed it was shot on 70 (gawd those soundstage shots with the fake sky look horrible - you movie folks have come a long way!).

Do a google search, I found one a few years ago.
I've seen a lot of them in 70mm... The best I've seen were Baraka and Lawrence of Arabia, but seeing one of the very few 70mm prints of Titanic was even a treat... even though the movie sucked.
<a href="http://www.in70mm.com/lists/" target="_new">This</a> site is pretty good.
FWIW, a good 35mm print is still higher than HD resolution... we always did 4k scans of 35mm film, and I think thats still whats used in the industry.

If the transfer is good, I am thinking the I-Max with the Andrettis will be high on the HD-DVD list
for film stuff. But the documentaries/concerts shot on HD video are what is really going to shine (I have very little HD content available at my house right now).
