my first DIY brake job - stoptech stg 2....
Well it was a LONG day, myself and another enthusiast (mostly him) put in my new kit - front and rear slotted OE rotors, front and rear Axxis Ultimate pads, front and rear SS lines, and motul 600 race fluid.
My comrade had good knowledge of brake systems in general, but not the S4 so we took an extra long time getting everything in correctly. The bleed went very well - we used a pressure bleeder for a bit but weren't getting great results so switched to the pedal pump method and it worked like a charm. The piston on the rear brakes was an extreme bitch, and we rigged up an interesting system to get it done
Overall I am extremely pleased with the quality, and it feels great to have new brakes... The pedal is the same as stock, maybe a BIT more responsive due to the SS lines, but nothing really noticeable.
One issue if anyone can answer it: The pad warning light is STILL on. We cleared all the codes, and I shut the car down once and when it was back on it didn't come back but then after about 5 minutes it returned. I am going to call Achtuning about it on monday to see if it could be faulty sensor wires on the front pads, but I'm not sure. Any ideas?
Cheers!

Do the Axis pads have the wear sensors?
If not, cut the plugs off the old pads, cross-connect the wires, tape them all up with some electrical tape, and plug them into the sensor connectors that should still be there.
