My fuel sender float ball is missing. Wondering how I should go about replacing it...

Default My fuel sender float ball is missing. Wondering how I should go about replacing it...

The sender arm appears to be in fine shape, but the ball is MIA. I'd really rather not pay for a new sender as my jury rigging skills are pretty well honed at this point, and I imagine that I can find a suitable float from some other device and make it work. For the time being I'll be relying on the trip odometer

I'd be more worried about where it went! Can you see it in the tank?

No, I couldn't see the float anywhere. When the tank is closer to empty it may be easier to spot. Do you think it's a hazard to have it loose in there? I don't see how it would bother the pump in any way.
