Default my S4 just got involved in a major accident...should I have it flatbedded to an Audi Dealership.

I know I'm not in control of this, but my wish is to have this car totaled. A normal body shop will most likely want to have my insurance estimate it as a repair. I know the car have more damage than what look physical from the outside.

anyone went through this and have any advice?

I'm still kinda shaken up but at least it happened in a Audi.... both Air bags went off.

Default Sorry to hear about that - glad you are OK. Does your dealership actually have a bodyshop?

You might want to make some calls to see what your dealership recommends first.

Default Sorry to hear....

I just went through totalling an A4 two weeks ago. I know how you feel. At least your alright.
Anyway, the insurance company will ALWAYS estimate the repair. They will do what is cheapest for them, so there is a good chance the car will be totalled if bent the frame or hurt the engine.

Default Of course I am not saying he should do this, but..

take a sledgehammer to the car..BEND THE FRAME...
but that is a bad idea, that would cause the insurance company to total it..

Default Ya, both of our air bags deployed too. The whole front end of the car was compressed back....

into the foot wells. I had to move my damn seat back to get my legs un-wedged. Legs took the worst of it, other than that I was fine. Friend (owner and driver) had the car shipping to a local body shop, insurance people came out, said it was totalled, and wrote him a check. No biggie, just be glad your OK.

Default you know it funny.... now that you mention it... My foot really hurt. I guess by tomorrow,

I'll find other pains......ouch, my neck feels sore....ouch my.... : ( The real pain.... I lost my beloved S4 with all the right mods. That engine was silky smooth.
