Default Need Help!! Just driving back from picking up dinner and got this harsh squeeling noise (m)

from the driver's side front wheel. Very nasty sounding and quite audible in the cabin. Constant. Seems to go away briefly when I nail the brakes hard. I just had my suspension swapped out Tuesday. No noise until just now and I have driven it hard at times since Tuesday. It seems like a brake issue, but not sure. Anybody else have something like this happen?

Default A little pebble could be lodged somewhere it shouldn't be...against the rotor....

pressing the brake could dampen the sound. check it out..
good luck,
mike

Will do. Lots of construction in the area. I hope that is the culprit!

Default wouldn't doubt it...had the same experiences with other peoples cars...not S4's

rocks get lodged between the calipers or it's mounting brackets and the rotor...it just squeals and grooves them up.
we've got some pretty intricate looking brakes on our cars compared to others, huh?

Check your wheel nuts, there might have one which is loose!

Pebble was the culprit. Got it out last night and no problems. Dealer confirmed all is well this AM.
