Need new front rotors at 5k miles!! How??
My service manager confirmed that I need new front rotors installed on Friday.
How could this be? Did the dealer over tighten my wheels when I put on the snow tires?
I'm easy on the brakes.
Also, do I need to have the pads replaced along with the rotors? Is this important to do together?
Thanks,

German factory rotors are very soft. They do this to help reduce noise
My factory rotors were pretty trashed after 3000 miles and one track event. You should replace your pads if you are replacing rotors, otherwise you will have sqeaks and your going to have to change the pads sooner anyway since they have 5000 miles on them, you might as well change them while the car is torn down for rotors.
Get some good aftermarket stuff and you should get some better longevity out of them. Coleman makes some rotors and I think Brembo is supposed to be making some, although I don't believe you can get this still right now as they are on backorder for eternity.
