Default Neuspeed -vs- ToyGuy Short Shift- - ->

I know it's been said over and over..but ToyGuy makes one sweet item.

I just installed my TG SS...I bought the shortened version, and man it is smooth! All slop is gone, it is like butter.

I've had a Neuspeed for three years and always loved it. But after getting this in I have seen the light!!!

I have to say, due to the tight tolerances of the TG SS, there is a fine line between proper and poor alignment.. It took a good ten attmepts before I got it perfect..and perfect it is!!

Do yourself a favor and find one of these! Or, you can buy my Neuspeed at a discount ;->

Default The TG shifter won't fix alignment issues, or issues with your tranny.

It's just a nice short shifter. If you're getting resistance getting into a gear, something else is wrong.

Default the dealer installed the SS. i took it back to them several times on the issue. they said it had

been aligned and there was nothing to be done. i dont really know much about shifters and what an alignment involves. is this something i could fix myself? TIA

Default RKA is correct- - ->

Sounds like you have your SS too far to the left..if as you shift from first to second you have to move the shifter over to the right, then you need to re-align the SS with more right lean...

That said, The TG SS rules

Default DId you ever try a TG SS at stock height?

If so how does it compare to lowered 3/4"? I've been thinking about cutting mine but I'd rather not if it will decrease the smooth butta feelin

Good review...

I too have adjusted mine about 10 times until I finally got it "Just Right"! I finally went and picked up one of those angle levels and set it to 7deg rear tilt & 3deg right tilt and its perfect!
