oil leaking around rear diff mount HELP

hey guys i got a 00 s4 and i noticed it bangs real hard in the back when i shift real fast so i got under it today to look at the rear diff mount well the mount is toast but i noticed a bunch of oily crap all around the mount and above the mount what is this from and whats needed for repair? thanks

ps. orderd a new rear diff mount already

ive read that the motor mounts will leak when they fail. maybe the diff mount does too? sounds unlikely but who knows.

Where the driveshaft goes into the rear diff there is a gasket/seal that can sometimes fail and cause what you saying.
