Hi Alex, you might want to think about it. The TT is a Golf platform car, and that means you will get the VR6 (no low end torque), you will get a Haldex Syncro - despite the fact that Audi calls it quattro - and you will get a car with significant rear end lift despite the rear wing. The TT is a showcase car, but not intended for driving...

read the article........seems like a supercharger is gonna be needed to get near .........
acceptable acceleration IMHO. I am a speed freak though and that looks like a kickass well handling sports car.

Re: Wait a second...you're saying TT quattro isn't S4 quattro?
yes, that is correct. The TT (coupe or Roadster) both are Golf platform cars, and they have the engine mounted traversely. That is why quattro does not and cannot work, they have a Haldex clutch which effectively makes the car FWD, and transfers torque if so required. Awkward behaviour, just plain sucks. I test drove a few here and in Germany, and it just is plain unpredictable how the car behaves. Audi had a whole lot of lawsuits in Germany because at high speeds it just lost its rear end due to lift and torque transfer. There are universes between the S4 and the TT. S4 is stable without any mods (other than taking the 250km/h limit out) even at 270km/h in stock configuration. If you go over 200km/h with the TT even in a long curve on the Autobahn, you will feel a little more excitement than you want. It is a Bauhaus car - function had to follow form. I find it ugly, and it has a whole lot of rear lift, as does the A6 and the B6 A4 due to the "new and improved" ***.
