Ok...I'm set on the size wheel...but what tire size?
I will be picking up 18x8.5 going on a currently stock suspension...but I am planning on going to the H&R Coilovers and upgrading my rear sway bar (19mm)...w/ this in mind...what tire size should I be considering 225x40 235x40?...if I go and roll my fenders...what would that give me...245x40? of course wider is better..
TIA

some people say that visually, 225 on a 8.5" rim looks funky
since the tire is barely wider than the rim.
that's one thing. another is that as you increase the width of the tire you should lower the profile to keep the diameter of the tire similar to stock so your odo & speedo won't be too off.
for example, the rs4 has 255/35/18 tires. if you do go 245 width, i'd say 245/35/18.
this probably didn't help you decide though! i need to get more relaxed like s4_obsessed . . . now what did i do with that zip-lock bag . . .

225/40 is best for the money........
but it you want to go for wider, you have to go for thinner tire, like 235/35 or 245/35...cause S4 doesn't have big fender as M3...........even you roll the fender....... I know the pain...I have 18 x8.5 wheel with H&R coilover....
