3 DTC's Found:

16684 - Random/Multiple Cylinder Misfire Detected
35-00 - -
16690 - Cylinder 6 Misfire Detected
35-00 - -

car seems to be running fine, except that i've been thinking that boost is like 1-2psi less than normal.

no other errors.

Am i causing damage driving with this DTC?

Any leads or what to check next is greatly appreicated.

Is it normal for a 6 year old car with 100K miles to need new coil packs?

Default If the CEL isn't flashing then you can drive it.

If its just an isolated incident, clear the DTC and see if it returns.

Could be a coilpack, could be ignition amp (output stage), could be sparkplug.

When were the plugs changed?

Try swapping the coil packs around and see if the misfires move. Repeat as necessary with igntion amps, sparkplugs, injectors to isolate the issue.

Default I've been having this issue for a while [more]

New plugs, new air filter, changed ignition amp,, net stop is to try swapping the coil packs. I have that code on cyl 1 and 3, in the warmer months I also get the EPC light. Driving me insane.

My question.. Can carbon build up in the Throttle Body cause EPC and Misfires?
