Ok stupid question: Anyone think the A-pillar SPP pod mod would hit them in the head in an accident?

Default Ok stupid question: Anyone think the A-pillar SPP pod mod would hit them in the head in an accident?

Will a side collision release the airbag or only front/rear collision?

thx

Default I think you have that backwards.. in a side collision the head bag

will go off, only in certain frontal/rear collisions will it go off.

Default There is nothing backwards to what I said but I guess it depends on the type of accident..

where the steering wheel airbag deploys vs. the a-pillar curtain airbag. Both in my opinion are head bags.

Default It prolly wont . . .

I put mine on last night and when you look at the assembly of the airbag mechanism, it will deploy at the bottom edge of the pillar and not cause the entire pillar to release. This is also due to the Torx screw located under the airbag clip on the pillar. It's not going anywhere. I suggest you fin "_rl" and ask him for pics from his crash (shows the curtain airbag deployed).

Default a-pillar doesn't come off when airbag is deployed

Disagree, When I designed my pod, our test S4 (a totalled one) blew the trim into the passenger seat
