OK, which tranny fluid are tiptronic users using when they do 100K service?
ESCtuning shows this (Pentosin OEM Automatic Transmission Fluid):
http://www.ecstuning.com/stage/edpd/pagebuild_v2.cgi/?html=learnmore.html&productID=1586
but they don't answer my emails about if its the right one for my 2001.5 Tip S4.
Also, I figure I should get this (A/T Filter & Pan Gasket Kit For 01V Transmission):
http://www.ecstuning.com/stage/edpd/pagebuild_v2.cgi/?html=learnmore.html&productID=2836
Can anyone confirm my purchases please?
If there is anything else I would need, please let me know!
Thanx in advance!

Assuming that you are talking about this product...
https://www.amsoil.com/storefront/atf.aspx?zo=1312987
Did L10 use that, or suggest that? It looks cheaper price-wise than the one ECS sells, which is interesting...

Yes - Pentosin ATF1 or OEM, dont risk other stuff
unless you are doing high performance upgrade and willing to experiment with a $4000 tranny.
There's a very good article on the complete process and part numbers for a high mileage tranny service<ul><li><a href="http://www.audipages.com/Tech_Articles/auto_transmission/autotranservicing.html">http://www.audipages.com/Tech_Articles/auto_transmission/autotranservicing.html</a</li></ul>

You don't suggest the Amsoil one? Why not? Just because its an unknown?
I'm not looking to go much more than Stage I right now, but I am looking for a car to go 200,000 miles on the original tranny (cross fingers). Sounds like an All Synthentic would help.
Thoughts?

The *experts* I've talked have been unanimous - stick to OE fluid
There's a ZF service center in the Bay Area I've become friends with ;-) Even Sam at Level10 strongly recommend sticking with the OE fluids.
The mix of chemistry, viscosity and boiling point all need to meet a certain criteria to satisfy all the different needs of the tranny from TC to Clutch/Bands.
